eSIM Installation

Prerequisites:

  • Your have obtained an eSIM with QR Code from DePinSim.

  • Your device is eSIM compatible and network unlocked. (For devices that don't support eSIMs, please refer to our Phyiscal SIMs page.)

  • You have a stable connection, preferably WiFi. (You need to download the eSIM properly to your device and a stable internet connection is a must.)

Follow those steps:

  1. Scan the QR Code with your phone camera.

  2. Click on the pop-up link from the QR Code

  3. Follow on-screen instructions to add the eSIM to your phone (the process may take a few minutes depending on your device models and network)

  4. Once the eSIM is installed, navigate to Mobile Service or Mobile Network settings on your phone and turn on Mobile Data as welll as Data Roaming. You will also need to set up the APN of the eSIM, depending on your device:

    • For iOS, go to Settings > Mobile Service > Select the right eSIM > Mobile Data Network > APN, enter globalnet (or modify the existing setting to globalnet). You don't need to change anything else.

    • For Android, go to Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names > Select the right eSIM > APN, enter globalnet (or modify the existing setting to globalnet). You don't need to change anything else.

If you follow all the above steps, you'll have now activated your eSIM and can start roaming!

Troubleshooting

Sometimes if you have installed the eSIMs but still get no internet data connection, you may want to try the following:

  • Make sure you turn on the right eSIM under your mobile network settings (in the case of multiple eSIMs/SIMs on your phone, you may need to check if you turn on the right one).

  • Make sure you turn on Mobile Data and Data Roaming

  • Make sure your eSIM has enough data roaming balance (your account is not blocked and has enough balance)

  • Try to restart your device or reset your mobile network settings.

  • Try deleting existing APN settings and create a new APN, and enter globalnet

  • Make sure the roaming country is within our coverage

If none of the above works, try our backup installation procedure.
